Meet Rob, a guy just trying to eke out a living drawing filthy cartoons for sleazy porno magazines, and somehow an even sleazier kiddy satire rag.  Sure it beats digging ditches for a living (though at least a ditch digger's got benefits), but it's not all he'd hoped to use his talents for.  He lives with his roommate, Jack, a compulsive book collector, whose accumulation of belletristic debris is ever encroaching on both their breathing space.  Rob's girlfriend Sylvia is getting that cramped feeling too, living across town with her brother and his extremely noisy paramour.  Between night-clubbing with his buddies, reluctantly partying with flirtatious gays and lesbians, delving into the less than glamorous world of tabloid porndom, being subjected to New York City's leather-clad S & M/performance art underworld, bopping all around Brooklyn and trying to maintain a relationship, it's amazing Rob ever gets any work done.
